How does ESMBA support coaching in short mat bowls?
The ESMBA, under Coaching Director, Martin McGregor, has formed a partnership with CoachBowls, the partnership between the Bowls Development Alliance, Bowls England and The English Indoor Bowling Association.
This partnership enables us to continuously improve Coaching Ability and Technique for our Sport and helps us enable our coaches to gain nationally recognised qualifications with support from CoachBowls.
The ESMBA are also constantly looking for other partners to help us promote the sport, a good example of how successful these partnerships can be is found in the work we did together with St Katherine’s School in Bristol to introduce short mat bowls into their curriculum. The video below gives a good overview of this venture and the benefits it has brought to the school, the pupils and the wider community:
How do I find a short mat bowls coach near me?
Our Coaching Directory contains a list of qualified short mat coaches who meet our criteria to appear on the directory. Your county assocation may also have a list of qualified coaches in your county, so you may wish to speak with them too. A list of County websites can be found here. If your County isn’t able to help or you don’t know who to contact, get in touch and we’ll try and point you in the right direction.
